PTA
Hello Kennedy Families!!
We are happy to announce that we have chosen to sell prepackaged school supplies for the next school year through School Tool Box - See flyer below - Supplies will be distributed prior to the start of the new school year.
ThinkStretch Summer Workbooks
Dear Kennedy Families,
The PTA would like to encourage families to order ThinkStretch summer workbooks for continued learning throughout the summer. Each book is grade level specific and contains 8 weekly lessons including a reading log and activity, writing activity, math skill and concept review, and a STEM bonus activity.
We normally take orders and distribute books to students before the end of the school year, but this year we will have to do things a little differently. Families are welcome to order online at this link: https://thinkstretch.com/how-to-order/
The cost has been reduced to $11 per book with free shipping. Your order will include the workbook, a parent guide, and a medal to give your student upon completion. Everything will be shipped directly to you.
We want to see these workbooks in the hands of as many students as possible this year! We also understand many families are under financial stress during this time. The PTA has funds available and wants to help! If you are interested in a workbook for your student(s) and ordering would cause any kind of financial strain, please contact me at orpenfam@gmail.com with your name, address, phone number, and which grade level (up to 5th grade heading to 6th grade) book(s) you’d like ordered. I will place the order using PTA funds and it will be sent directly to you. Please do not hesitate to ask for this assistance! The deadline for ordering using PTA funds will be May 20.
Due to the change in process this year, books will not be collected in the fall, nor will there be a traditional medal ceremony to reward students with their medals. Parents will be responsible for grading books and giving medals upon completion. The PTA will be brainstorming another option to recognize students who participate.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Wishing you all well and looking forward to when we’re all together again!
Sincerely,
Alecia Orpen
