Memorial Day Flags
For most of us, Memorial Day is the big kick-off for summer. Amid the fun family activities you might have planned for the holiday weekend, take a moment to remind your students that Memorial Day is a day where we formally remember those who have served our country.
Field Park’s Pack 65 Cub Scouts will be handing out miniature U.S. flags on Friday May 28th after school. If possible have your student display the Flag along your sidewalk on Monday May 31st.
Field Day Plan:
- On Wednesday, 6/2, with 4x sessions spanning the full school day
- All grade levels will have about 1.5 hours of Field Day fun in the sun!
- In the morning session(s): KAM, 2F/G, all 4th and 5th graders
- In the afternoon session(s): KPM, 2S, all 1st and 3rd graders
- Activities include: scooters, water balloons, bounce house, karate with an instructor, yoga with an instructor, potato sack races, and a dance party and photo opp with Falco!
- Popsicles will be served (approved from D101's allergen-safe approved dessert list: more specifics coming to families as we approach the event)
- Students and parent volunteers will maintain 3 feet of distance while masked and 6 feet while unmasked
- We will have water stations and lots of hand sanitizer to keep kids hydrated and healthy!
