Schools Remain Closed
As you are probably aware by now, all Illinois schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. We are all sad with this announcement since having a "normal" day is what we probably all need right now. Please know that we are working on a way for students to safely see their teachers one last time before summer. Details will follow.
Also, we know you probably have many questions in regards to 4th quarter grades, summer school, and picking up supplies that were left at school. As a district, we are working on answering those questions, and we will get that information to you soon. (Please see here for the communication to all families on April 17th regarding school closure.)
This is not how any of us imagined the school year ending. But as we stay together as an Oak Ridge family, we will get through this and become stronger because of it.
Report Cards
3rd quarter report cards are now available online. Please see here for instructions.
Oak Ridge & Glen Oaks: One Book, Two Schools
Students will be able to participate in a virtual book club with chapters read by Oak Ridge and Glen Oaks teachers. We are encouraging all of our students to participate in this fun event. Please see here for more information and join us as we read along together!
"Lion King Kids" Musical Cancelled
Due to schools being closed, this year's spring musical will unfortunately be cancelled. Please see this letter from our teachers.
Illinois Call4Calm Text Line
If you or a loved one are struggling with stress related to the COVID-19 pandemic and need emotional support, text TALK to 552020 for English or HABLAR for Spanish. This service is free and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. People seeking assistance will remain anonymous and will provide only their first name and zip code, which enables the service to link you to a counselor in your area who is knowledgeable about available local resources. See here for additional support.
Parent Resource
Not feeling productive or don't have a sense of direction during Covid-19? See here for ideas on how students (and adults) can stay motivated.
