PSELI Vision
We envision Palm Beach County as a model community for social, emotional and academic learning where, through collaboration, equity and inclusivity, all children, youth and adults have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential to succeed in school, work and life.
What is SEL?
Social and emotional learning (SEL) leads to children, youth and adults achieving academic, post‐secondary, career and life success. SEL involves acquiring and effectively applying knowledge, attitudes and skills to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, make responsible decisions, and demonstrate behaviors that contribute to academic success. (Adapted from CASEL, 2013).
