IMPORTANT Car Rider Drop Off/Pick Up Information...
- Pull as far up as you are able. This allows more students to be dropped off/picked up at one time, which will move the line more quickly and minimize wait time.
- Be mindful of other people and vehicles as you pull out of the car line and into the "passing lane" to exit. Please pull out slowly and carefully.
- Please drive slowly as you enter and exit the car line and Mill Creek property.
- Please do your best to drop off as quickly (but still safely) as possible. If you need to exit your car to help your child, and this will require an extended period of time, we kindly ask that you park in one of the parking lot spaces and walk your child up to the sidewalk area. This will avoid major backups in the car line.
Thank you for your assistance!

Principal's Post
Halloween is certainly a highlight for our elementary schools, and it will be nice to be back to... almost... normal with this year's celebration. A reminder of the following for the Friday, October 29 1/2 day Halloween Celebrations:
The Halloween Parade (weather permitting) will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Classroom Celebrations will occur following the parade with start times determined/communicated by individual Teachers and Homeroom Parents.
Halloween Classroom Celebrations involving food will adhere to the following guidelines:
- Food consumption will occur for less than 15 minutes.
- During food consumption, students will be spaced as far apart as feasible.
Our 6th Grade Halloween Howl is tonight from 7-9 p.m. We would love to see all of our 6th Grade join us!
Enjoy the weekend!

From the Desk of Mr. Murtha
One of our newsletter features last week involved two character ed. assemblies that were attended, respectively, by 3rd/4th and 5th/6th Grade students. During the 6th Grade presentation of the basketball-themed assembly, there was a part towards the end where Corey Jones (the presenter) invited about a dozen students up to the front to participate in a challenge, including the opportunity to win a basketball. Once the selected students lined up in the front, he asked if any of them would like to choose a friend to switch places with them, giving the friend the opportunity to win the basketball instead. Seven... yes seven... of our 6th Grade students chose to switch with a friend! Corey then surprised those seven, saying that, if the friend they chose ended up winning the basketball, he would give out two - one the original participant and one to the friend (the "selfless seven," of course, did not know this before making their selfless choice).
For me, this was another reminder of the incredible amount of kindness that exists at Mill Creek and among our student body, and I am certainly glad to be a part of this incredible environment!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Assistant Principal

Information from CB Technology and Innovation...
Currently, the Technology and Innovation Department blocks Microsoft Office 365 logins to Outlook, OneDrive, ClassLink, and Canvas from foreign countries. This aids in protecting our CBSD user accounts and organization from malicious computer attacks from outside of the United States.
Students who travel cannot assume their devices will work once they leave the United States. For student out-of-country access requests, please know that access to technology for vacations will not be approved at this time.
Career Readiness Information...
Welcome back to Sparks. You will be receiving these articles on a regular basis through your building’s newsletter with the goal of career education for all Central Bucks students.
Last spring, the students in grades 3-6 were introduced to Smart Futures. Smart Futures is an online career development platform which focuses on grade-specific activities for students and manages the outcomes of the activities in a portfolio which meets the required PA Career Readiness Standards. Classroom teachers will be working with students in Smart Futures. Last year students in grades 3-6 completed a limited number of activities but this year we will be asking all elementary students to complete the activities for their grade. Any student who chooses, can do the activities in the previous grade band to have a complete portfolio for career readiness. For the most part, students can do the earlier activities independently so it might be an opportunity for you to see Smart Futures at home with your daughter or son. We are asking students not to go beyond the activities assigned to their grade.
SF allows students to discover what they like to do, learn about careers they might want to investigate and even how to develop a budget. To learn more about SF, watch this short video and you can always ask your child to log onto SF to see what they are learning.
