Calendar Rotation for LHS
Demographic Sheets
Powerschool Demographic Sheets were sent home with students last week. Please update the form with any changes and return on the next in-person day. If you have no changes to make, simply write, "No Change" at the top, and return the form to the child's 3rd-period teacher.
Cohort D Demographic Sheets will be sent in the mail tomorrow. Parent/Guardian may scan and email back to Mrs. Poce at poces@lpsma.net or hand deliver to the main office next week.
Please disregard the handbook sign-off at the bottom of the page as all LPS handbooks are pending school committee approval.
2020 Yearbooks have arrived!
National Honor Society
All students eligible to apply for the National Honor Society were notified through their student email on Friday, 10/16. There is an informational Google Meet about the application process on Monday, 10/19 @ 2:00 pm. The Google Meet link has been shared with candidates through a calendar invite. All applications are due to Ms. Rieder by Friday, 10/23 @ 1:45 pm. Late application will not be accepted.
SCHOOL COUNCIL
The Leicester High School Council is a committee of administrators, parents, teachers, and community members working together to promote the well-being and effectiveness of the school community with the goal of improving student outcomes. We are currently looking for 3-5 parent members 3-5 staff members, one community member, and 2 students. If you are interested in serving on the committee please email Ms. Kenny. Our first virtual meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 27th from 5:00-6:00.

Masks would have to be worn. Duties would include stocking products,
making boxes of items for delivery, ( in teams of two/ three), and
helping shoppers with their grocery shopping. So they will be in
contact with other people. Hand sanitizer would be required before
and after each customer. This would be similar to the previous
years, but with more space in between each customer.

Spectator Guidelines
1. At this time, Leicester will limit spectators to 50 at home contests.
2. Each team member will be given a spectator pass that they can give to his/her family for entrance into contests.
3. Please remember that one pass equals one guest.
4. All spectators will be asked to provide contact tracing information using a QR code at the contest (you will need a smartphone).
5. All spectators will be expected to socially distance (6' minimum) and wear a mask.

Leicester Public Library Offers Curbside Pickup
Did you know that the Leicester Public Library offers curbside pickup, loans out mobile WiFi hotspots, and offers mystery bags, kits, and take-and-make crafts? They’re pretty awesome -- check them out!

Free breakfast and lunch for everyone until December. Students must present their student ID card. Families that may qualify for either free or reduced lunch are encouraged to apply so that the benefit may continue after December 31st and qualification may entitle students for reductions to school associated fees.
GUIDANCE CORNER
Daily College Financing Webinars for Families
Beginning Monday, September 28th through Thursday, November 5th, MEFA will host a live College Financing webinar for students and families daily every Monday through Thursday, with daytime and evening hours. All webinars will be recorded and available online for families who are unable to attend a live event. Their webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the full financial aid application process. Presenters will include MEFA staff members as well as guests from financial aid offices across the Commonwealth, providing families the opportunity to hear from many of the most knowledgeable financial aid leaders in the industry.
