ATTENDANCE REMINDERS
POSTING ATTENDANCE MATTERS. Please take the time to do it correctly as this is the first communication we have with parents on a daily basis.
1) Due to the BUS schedule, many buses are running late daily, please wait to post attendance until the office gives you an OK to do so
2) If you have posted a child ABSENT AND THEN they come to your class without a late pass...either call and let us know they arrived without a late pass or send them back for one!
3) Absences need to be marked as ONLY "A" please make sure you "unpick" the excused button when posting, it is the offices job to put in excused absences.
4) ALL COMMUNICATION about why a child is late or absent NEEDS to go through the office, preferably to Shannon as she sends out the calls to parents. It is embarrassing to communicate with a parent who has already communicated with you about their child, forward emails immediately or send down notes!
5) Kids who are EATING BREAKFAST often show up late to class, Breakfast Duty staff should be moving them along when the 9:10 bell rings. Breakfast Duty staff need to remind kids to:
- Get a late pass if they are leaving the cafeteria after 9:13 (between bells) as it is most likely the child will arrive late to class and be marked absent!
- Only get a grab and go breakfast after the 9:10 bell has rung they can eat in class.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I know that there have been some questions regarding the difference between content and language objectives. Here is a great VIDEO on langauge objectives to help clarify the difference between the two.
