Get Ready for the Digital Showcase!

Announcing our Student Digital Showcase!

With the “Social Distancing” restrictions, we are unfortunately unable to hold our Spring 2020 Recital. So instead, we are creating a fun alternative that we are calling the Spring 2020 Digital Showcase!

Below is all of the information that you will need to join in the fun and show off what you’ve been working on this semester.

Here’s what to do:

  • Create a video performing a piece that you have been working on over this semester.

  • Submit the video no later than Sunday, May 31st.

  • The showcase will be released on Sunday, June 7th on a dedicated webpage featuring all of the performances. Also on that page will be an opportunity to vote for your favorites in the following categories:

    • Student performance you enjoyed most

    • Teacher performance you enjoyed most

    • Video that made you laugh the most

    • Most creative background or props

    • Best concert outfit (could be funny or just nice)

How to Create Your Video:

  • Before you start your performance, tell us all your name, your age, and the title of your piece.

  • Have a family member use a phone or camera – nothing fancy is necessary.

  • Have the camera facing you – we want to see your delightful face as well as your hands and instrument. For piano you may need to move the keyboard or piano away from the wall, and shoot from the front and sides.

I hope this sounds like fun! I am looking forward to having a way to share our music and spread some cheer to all our friends and families!

Summer Music Lessons Begin June 1st!

Our Summer Session begins on June 1st!

  • If you need/want changes to your current time, please let us know by Friday, May 22nd.
  • Some teachers will have adjusted schedules for the summer, we'll notify all affected students of those changes by next Friday, May 15th.

Update on In Studio Lessons

We are working alongside the local government to create a safe return to in studio music lessons. Due to occupancy and social distancing restrictions, this transition will have to take place gradually.

We are working on a timeline and plan of action, and will share with you very soon!

Thank you all for your flexibility and adaptability!
