VIRTUAL WILD THINGS ART CONTEST
If your child would like to create and submit an independent drawing or painting of Louisiana native wildlife for the
Virtual Wild Things Art Contest
the new deadline is October 20, 2021.

Class Pictures & Individual Retakes
Class pictures and retakes of individual school pictures will be done on the following days:
-Students in the Early Childhood Building on Wednesday, October 13th. (Mrs. Rocky’s Kindergarten class will also take their individual school pictures on this day.)
-Students in Kindergarten thru 7th grade on Thursday, October 21st
*Order forms for class pictures are being sent home this week. (Multiple copies of the same class picture can be done in one envelope; but if ordering class pictures from different homerooms please order and pay separately.)
*Students taking an individual school picture will receive an electronic link to view and order those pictures online.
*School uniforms must be worn
*Only students who were absent on school picture day OR who have a picture package in hand to return to the photographers will be eligible to take a retake of their individual school picture.

PEEK-A-BOO AT THE ZOO
Student Council is once again sponsoring the collection of bags of individually wrapped candy in support of Peek a Boo at the Zoo. This is an event that the Student Council supports each year. We have been told that SMM donates more candy than any other school in the city!
Students are asked to donate bags of individually wrapped candy for Peek a Boo at the Zoo from October 11th -13th. The proceeds from this event will go to Children's Hospital.
Thank you for your help with this event. It is such a worthy cause.
