Poplar Grove Post
November 2016
Note from the Principal:
Hello,
We have taken the momentum from a fabulous start and used it to propel us into an amazing semester. We recently participated in an extensive process to examine the possibilities of updating our school logo. Our Logo Committee consisted of several staff members, students, and parents. We selected one new logo option and then encouraged students and faculty to vote. The vote was to keep the current logo or transition to the new logo option. Our students and faculty voted to keep the current logo by a narrow margin.
In the coming weeks, you will notice new banners with our existing logo attached to the poles in the parking lot. We will also make car decals available to our families in the near future.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to our PTO for organizing Fall Fest. Fall Fest has been rescheduled for November 10th from 2:40-5:40. Students may stay after school, but will need a ride home at the conclusion of the event.
I would also like to remind you of a few important upcoming dates:
- November 8 No School – Election Day
- November 15th Progress Reports
- November 21-25 Thanksgiving Break
