BES Weekly Update
Issue No. 11
A Note From Principal Paquette
Dear BES Families,
We are in the home stretch! This week and next are our last full weeks of the 19-20 school year. Please remember that Monday, June 15th is a half day and our final day of school is Tuesday, June 16th.
Important information has been posted in your child’s Google Classrooms regarding chromebook collection. The flier can be found here. The Device Protection Plan (DPP) is truly a value to have when children are using the devices. This year the DPP is being offered at a discount of $15 per device with a max charge to families of $40 which is wonderful for our families with multiple children! This plan option is available to families from June 1st through August 30th at which point the price goes back to $25 per device. For full details about the DPP and to enroll in the plan, please visit www.bcsdk12.org/dpp/ You may also email any questions to DPP@bcsdk12.org. Children will be keeping their chromebooks for the summer months and those who jump on this opportunity to prebuy the DPP will have their devices unlocked for the summer months allowing for continued learning!
This year we will be having a Virtual Move-Up day for students on Monday, June 15th at 10am! The information for this day can be found here. This information will also be posted in your child’s Google Classroom as well as on the PTO Facebook page, the district website, and the Elementary Facebook page. If you have any questions on how to have your child take part in the Move-Up day, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.
As a reminder, tomorrow, June 4th and Friday, June 5th we begin our Student Belonging Pick-ups. Please refer back to the last two newsletters for details on how and when to come pick up your child’s belongings. If you have questions please call me in the office before coming! Don’t forget to bring back library books or any other school materials which need to be returned as well.
I have had parents begin to reach out in hopes of finding out information about school in September. All I can tell you at this time is that we have no details and no information to share. This is a continually unfolding situation and as soon as we know details we will certainly pass them on to you. I know the uncertainty is difficult and makes planning hard but we are all in the same boat. I will be sure to share any and all information as I have details finalized.
Take care and stay healthy!
Educationally yours,
Sarah Paquette
BES Principal

Ms. Lamontagne Shares Counseling Tips for Families
Hello Everyone!
It's finally June! The month of June always brings many transitions and emotions. Happiness that the weather is warmer and sunnier, pleasure in spending more time outdoors, and excitement that the days of school work are coming to a close and that there will be more time to play. Also with that comes sadness and uncertainty. Sadness that we will miss our friends, our teachers, and our routine. Uncertainty of what the future will look like. Although this June is very different from the Junes before it, we have our BES family to help us manage our emotions. Please enjoy this June calendar with suggestions in finding daily joy throughout the month. By practicing gratitude and positivity we can feel better about all of the transitions we face in June and beyond. Please reach out if your child needs support with their emotional regulation. lamontagne.michele@bcsdk12.org.

Chromebook Device Protection Plan
Take note...
As mentioned above, the $15 promotional rate is available throughout the summer (June 1st through August 30th) but will be $20 when the school year begins. If parents/guardians would like to purchase the Device Protection Plan now, it will save them money and go into effect on July 1, 2020 for the following school year. We appreciate parents/guardians paying online to cut down on incoming/outgoing paperwork with contact.
