District News
August 2022 Back to School
A Message from the Superintendent
Greetings Lebanon Parents, Caregivers, and Community,
This is the first edition of our new electronic newsletter called The District Digest. You can expect to find this e-newsletter in your inbox once a month. We're sending this first edition out on the cusp of a brand new school year, what an exciting time!
Beyond Warrior Pride, Onward Lebanon, and the Maroon and Gold we wear, I challenge our community to think about the question, “What Unites Us?” With so much division happening around us, focusing on what unites the people of Lebanon City Schools is crucial to our success. We want to keep our focus on that concept as we affirm our mission and goals for the district and our plan for the future.
I hope you will find that we are living out our mission of “Building Community” in every decision that we make. As I work to develop and deepen my connection to the community I hope you recognize a posture of listening and learning. The success of our district is only possible through connections and engagement within the buildings and the community. I commit to be an engaged leader and to differentiate between being visible and being engaged. I think this is a human struggle we all deal with as employees, parents, leaders, and citizens. Sometimes, we are present, but we don’t always engage. I want to encourage you to consider how you can engage with our school district, to become involved in your child’s education, to serve on a committee, or to volunteer in our community.
It is an exciting time to be a part of Lebanon City Schools and I am blessed to lead this amazing learning community. Thank you for engaging in the journey as we work to Build Community in all we do.
Onward Lebanon,
Isaac W. Seevers, Superintendent

Complete Back to School Forms
Back to school time means it's time for families to update forms. These important forms are required for every student, each year and, among other things, allow us to have up-to-date emergency medical information and contact phone numbers.
To access the forms, go to our district website and click on the School Forms link at the top or you can find it on our Back to School hub, linked from the very top of the website. You'll log into our paperless online portal called LINQ to complete the required forms. You will use your LINQ login from last year, or if you have a new student, you'll use the login created for you when you registered. If you forgot your account information, you can click on Password Recovery.
If needed, computers kiosks are available at Central Office, 160 Miller Rd, Door A1, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays.
We ask that you complete the Back to School Forms by September 2. Students without completed forms will not be eligible to go on field trips or participate in other off site activities.
Thanks for your help getting us this important information.

Onward Lebanon: Discussing the Levy

New Safety Tip Line
We are utilizing a new safety tip line this school year called the Safer Ohio Tip Line: 1-844-723-3764. The line is monitored 24/7. Every tip can remain anonymous.
Victimizations, bullying, and other disorders such as drug and alcohol use are often not reported directly to school authorities or even to parents and guardians. Oftentimes this is because students do not want to be identified, don’t want a friend or classmate in trouble, or simply don’t know how or where to report these threats.
Things to report to the tip line include:
Bullying incidents
Withdrawn student behaviors
Verbal or written threats observed toward students, faculty, or school buildings
Weapon/suspicious devices on or near school grounds
Gang-related activities
Unusual/suspicious behavior of students or staff
Self-harm or suicidal sentiments
