Senior Scholarship Survey
Senior scholarship information is important data that we are required to collect on behalf of PUSD. Seniors who have been awarded or received any scholarship money for college should fill out this survey, even if they rejected the scholarship.
Seniors and their families have access to our google form to share their grants/scholarship offers. In the case your student did not receive grants/scholarships, the survey offers a question for you to share that information with us. Please let us know if you have any questions! We appreciate your time and effort with this end-of-the-school-year request.

Enrollment
Enrollment will open on Wednesday, May 5!
For families who already have students in the district, or who were previously in the district, you will use your parent log-in for the process. If you can’t remember your password or username, you can retrieve or reset them at https://password.powayusd.com. Families who will be new to Poway Unified will create a log-in during the process.
The district shows 5 learning options for students, but there are actually only 2 options for high school. They can be on campus full time, or they can enroll with New Directions, which offers independent study. With either option, your student can opt to take Poway Virtual Courses in conjunction. If you would like your student to be virtual next year, you will choose New Directions. Students who choose Poway High and Poway Virtual Courses, will have to be on campus for at least 3 classes per day. You can find more information on our Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/COTBaeunFlu/?igshid=1kr1dlwl8o8gf. New Directions students will still have Poway High listed as their school on their transcript and they will be allowed to participate in our sports teams and clubs.
Documents you will need for enrollment:
1. Birth Certificate
2. 2 Proofs of Residence
3. Valid Parent ID
4. Immunization Records
5. Transcript of all high school courses taken, or most recent 8th grade report card if your student is still in 8th grade
6. If your student has an IEP or 504, you will need your most recent copy of the plan.
The computer gives you an option to turn in paperwork at a later time, but I want to give you a heads up that any documents missing from the online submission will hold up the enrollment process, so you will need to turn them in as soon as possible.

Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Month. It is a time to raise awareness of those living with mental or behavioral health issues. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the mental health of people of all ages. Now, more than ever, it is critical to reduce the stigma around mental health struggles, because that stigma often prevents individuals from seeking help.
The Counselors are available for any student seeking help.
Mrs. Struck in our Student Services office shared self-help tools and is available on-campus or online to help. You can contact her at 858-748-0245 x5393 or by email: sstruck@powayusd.com.
