Plant Cells
Plant cells are eukaryotic cells. This cell includes: A large central vacuole, a water-filled volume enclosed by a membrane or ,controls movement of molecules between the cytosol , stores useful material and digests waste proteins and organelles.
Cell Theory
All living things are composed of cells. Cells are the basic unit of structure and function in living things. New cells are produced from exsiting cells. A scientific theory which describes the properties of cells.
BODY ORGANIZATION FOR SIMPLEST TO MOST COMPLEX
Cell- this is the basic unit of living things
Tissue- Groups of cells that work together to perform a function (job)
Organ- Group of tissues that work to gather to preform a function
Organ System- Group of organs that work together to preform a function
Organism- Group of organ systems that work together to sustain life
Cytoplasm
The cytoplasm comprises cytosol(the gel-like substance enclosed within the cell membrane) –and the organelles – the cell's internal sub-structures. All of the contents of the cells of prokaryote organisms (such as bacteria,) are contained within the cytoplasm. Within the cells of eukaryote cells then called the nucleoplasm. The cytoplasm is about 80% water and usually colorless.
Mighty Mitochondria
The mitochondrion (plural mitochondria) is a membrane bound organelle found in most eukaryote cells (the cells that make up plants, animals, fungi, and many other forms of life).
Smooth ER
The smooth endoplasmic reticulum, or smooth ER, is an organelle found in both animal cells and plant cells. An organelle is a subunit within a cell that has a specialized function.
Cell Wall
A rigid layer of polysaccharides lying outside the plasma membrane of the cells of plants, fungi, and bacteria.
Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells
Prokaryote cells have no nucleus a way to help you remember this is pro rhymes with no. So that will help you also remember that eukaryote cells do have nucleus cells.
