Please take a moment to read the updated 2019-20 Student Rights and Responsibilities. New this school year is a section regarding reporting a concern in school.

Mark Your Calendars — 2019-20 Professional Growth Wednesdays

About once or twice a month, students are released from school two hours early for the District's Professional Growth Wednesdays. Those two hours are used as time for teacher learning, giving staff an opportunity to collaborate and engage in professional development.

That work leads to better teachers and, in turn, better education for students. Mark your calendars for the following Professional Growth Wednesdays this school year. Please note that some Professional Growth Wednesdays affect primary schools only, so if you have students in middle or high school, they may experience a regular school day. Those instances are marked as PRIMARY LEVEL ONLY Professional Growth Wednesdays.

Volunteer in WLWV Schools!

The West Linn-Wilsonville School District uses HelpCounter for volunteer registration and sign-in to increase safety and security for all students. Interested volunteers can register to volunteer in WLWV schools by visiting the Volunteer Registration webpage. Simply select 'Start' to fill out your application, which includes a background check. The first time that volunteers sign-in to volunteer at any WLWV school they will be prompted to accept a Volunteer Agreement.

Volunteers must also re-register every three years, or when volunteering at a new school. Note that volunteer coaches register through a different process. Contact your school's athletic director or principal for more information.

2019 Bond and Local Option Levy Information

On Aug. 5, the West Linn-Wilsonville School Board officially announced the District will place a capital bond levy and local option renewal on the November 2019 ballot. The bond, which is not expected to raise the current tax rate of West Linn-Wilsonville residents, will be placed on the ballot in addition to a local option tax levy.

The local option tax levy was last passed in 2014 and is set to expire following the 2019-20 school year. The local option tax levy currently funds approximately 80 teachers across the school district. That tax levy is not expected to raise the current tax rate experienced by voters.
