Introduction to Grade Point Average (with revision)
As our middle schoolers continue to prepare for life at the high school level, we have been introducing them to Grade Point Average (GPA). Each letter grade that students receive counts for a certain number of points. These ‘points’ are then averaged over time to determine their Grade Point Average. The point values are shown below. The highest GPA students can receive (without advanced level courses) is a 4.0. In order to increase students' comfortability with GPA as they prepare for HS, we will be introducing an Honor Roll Award at the end of each semester. Students will be able to earn this reward by consistently performing in an outstanding manner in academics. Please continue to encourage your students to do their best in all classes. If you have any questions about GPA, feel free to reach out to the main office.
New Masking Guidance
Masks are still mandatory on all public transportation and school buses.
Our building will continue to have masks available upon request
