MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

As we enter the spring season, there are many events and activities that highlight the achievement and accomplishments of our students throughout the year. This next week we encourage all families to meet with teachers during conferences to discuss student progress and reflect on goals set at the beginning of the year.

Below are many activities our entire community can attend to learn, support and celebrate our students, schools and district. Our continued goal is to have all students on a path to graduation, continuing education and work. Each of you play a vital role in the success of our students to Graduate Yelm!

Superintendent Search Process

The search for a new superintendent is underway. The board will make the final selection by the end of April not before seeking feedback from administration, staff and community.

March 27 - Applications are due

April 6 - School Board will review applications and select top 6

April 15 - School Board will identify the 3 final candidates

April 25, 26 & 27 - Each finalist will have a full day of interviews and site visits

A Community Forum will be held each night to meet the finalists and share feedback with the school board. Please join us at 5:30pm in the Yelm Middle School Commons.
