COVID-19 UPDATES

We greatly appreciate everyone's continued patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

CCPS will continue to follow the same isolation and quarantine guidance that is currently in place. If you would like more information on the current guidance, please click here.

Please carefully monitor your child for any COVID-19 symptoms (see complete list below). If your child is symptomatic, please do not send them to school. We appreciate your partnership in helping keep our school community healthy.

COVID-19 Symptoms:

If your child has any one of the symptoms below, please do not send them to school:

  • Cough
  • Fever over 100 degrees or above
  • Sore Throat
  • Diarrhea or vomiting
  • Severe onset of headache, especially with a fever
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Difficulty Breathing

Close Contacts to Covid Positive In Unmasked Area

In the event that you are contacted by Mr. Messier or Ms. Bailey and informed that your child is a close contact to a confirmed Covid positive person, your child will need to quarantine, unless your child is fully vaccinated (two weeks after second dose). A copy of your child's vaccination card may be emailed directly to Nurse Twigg (artwigg@carrollk12.org)

Quarantine Learning Support

Ms. Cheryl Lee, our quarantine success coach, is available to support all students who are in quarantine. If your child is on quarantine and you have questions regarding their assignments, please contact Ms. Lee directly via email at cslee@carrollk12.org.

JOIN OUR LSE FAMILY

HELP WANTED! Did you know that our school has employment opportunities currently available? Please contact Mr. Messier (gpmessi@carrollk12.org) or Ms. Bailey (jabail2@carrollk12.org) for more details on available positions. Interested applicants are asked to also visit the Employment Opportunities section of the CCPS website, as they must complete a CCPS employment application to be fully considered for positions. The CCPS Department of Human Resources manages this process and is the only office authorized to make official employment offers once the school completes interviews and all required documentation is finalized. Please share this information with family and friends who may be interested in employment. Thank you for your continued support of our school community.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

We will hold our third parent-teacher conference night on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. A Sign-Up Genius link will be emailed out to families at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022.

THANK YOU!

Many thanks to all who joined us for our Scholastic Book Fair, Spelling Bee finals, and our Winter Concert. It was wonderful welcoming volunteers and families into our school for these events. We look forward to welcoming families to other events in the future.

Our Scholastic Book Fair was the most successful book fair in LSE history! We greatly appreciate the support from our many volunteers--without your partnership, the book fair would not have been as successful.
