1. Santa Cruz Basilica

3. St. Francis Church

It is said that Vasco Da Gama was initially buried here in 1524. But eventually, his holy remains were moved to Lisbon. However, tourists can see his gravestone, located inside the church complex. The cenotaph here was built in loving memory of all the people of Kochi who laid their lives during World War I.
4. Malayattoor Church
The St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, popularly called the Malayattoor Church, is located atop Malayattoor Hill. St. Thomas, who is believed to have introduced Christianity to Kerala, established this church. Locals say that the saint had drawn a cross on the hill, where a golden cross had appeared later. The church is now one of the eight international shirnes in the world. It is just 15km from Cochin International Airport. 5. Nadamel Marth Mariam Church
Once patronized by the royals of Cochin, this is of the oldest churches of Kerala, dating back to the 12th century. One popular tradition was that each new successor of the royal family would offer “sharkara thattu veypu” here, along with meeting all the leaders and bishops. Beautifully built with white exteriors and red tiled roof, it is a significant place of worship for the Jacobite Syrians.
