The Respiratory System!

The respiratory system has two lungs that take in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.
Plants like trees breathe in carbon dioxide that we humans breathe out and plants breathe out oxygen (thank goodness!)

The Heart!

The heart is the body's engine room, responsible for pumping life-sustaining blood via a 60,000-mile-long (97,000-kilometer-long) network of vessels. The organ works ceaselessly, beating 100,000 times a day, 40 million times a year—in total clocking up three billion heartbeats over an average lifetime. It keeps the body freshly supplied with oxygen and nutrients, while clearing away harmful waste matter.

The Lungs!

The lung is the essential respiration organ in many air-breathing animals, including most tetrapod's a few fish and a few snails. In mammals and the more complex life forms, the two lungs are located near the backbone on either side of the heart.

What can go wrong?

When u smoke you can get a very dangerous disease called cancer this disease can harm your body and many have survived from it but many have passed. Of the more than 2.4 million deaths in the USA annually, over 440,000 are caused by smoking.

The Diaphram!

The diaphragm functions in breathing. During inhalation, the diaphragm contracts and moves in the inferior direction, thus enlarging the volume of the thoracic cavity (the external intercostal muscles also participate in this enlargement). This reduces intra-thoracic pressure: In other words, enlarging the cavity creates suction that draws air into the lungs.
