Horse Projects
As stated above, no pre-fair grading will take place but all members who wish to participate in the show must turn in a completed project book at the show check in.
This year, there will be two horse shows. An English show on Saturday, July 25, and a Western show on Sunday, July 26. In order to create social distance during the show, horse exhibitors may only show in one show and must make a fair entry for the show of their choice - English or Western.
Horse Relationship, Horse Partnership, and No Horse on Exhibit Projects
- Horse Relationship, Horse Partnership, and project evaluations for individuals that do not bring their horse to the show will take place on Monday, July 20, beginning at 10:00am in the Ganyard Building. An appointment process is being established and will be made available to those that make fair entries for these projects.
Dog Show
The junior fair dog show is being postponed until August 28 and 29, at the new ARF Location on Eastgate Parkway. Exhibitors should still make their fair entry online before June 30.

If you answered yes to the question above, YOU MUST participate in a livestock quality assurance session before the fair. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Virtual Quality Assurance Information
There is still one session left to complete the Livestock Quality Assurance requirement. Members must attend the entire quality assurance presentation in order to receive completion credit. Attendance will be taken and monitored throughout the session. This will be an interactive presentation and members will be asked to answer poll questions.

Club Advisor Fair Update
A virtual zoom session will be provided for all club advisors on Tuesday, June 9, 7:00pm. This session will be an opportunity for volunteers to hear about plans for the fair and get answers to any questions they may have about fair entry. An email will be coming to all current 4-H club advisors with connection information.
Ohio 4-H - State Level Project Judging Announcement
Due to COVID-19 and in alignment with the cancellation of the Ohio State Fair, there will be no 4-H state fair project judging this year. However, we know how important it is to recognize 4-H members for the time and effort in completing their projects. While we are still working on the details, we are excited to announce there will be an Ohio 4-H Project Showcase. All members will be invited to submit a photo of themselves with their 4-H project. These photos will be added to a gallery page on the state 4-H website and we’re working on plans to highlight members in additional ways. We’ll share the information about posting photos by June 15.
While this is disappointing news, we appreciate the difficult decision they had to make. Franklin County 4-H is still committed to providing project evaluation opportunities at the county level. As the county ribbon order has already been placed, we still intend to distribute both the State Fair Selection and State Fair Alternate rosettes this year. We are saddened that winners will not be able to represent Franklin County at the state level but believe that it's important to our youth to still be recognized for that accomplishment.

- Every family must log in using the family email address that was used to enroll in 4-H this year and make their fair entries for the entire family. Club advisors are unable to make the entries for the members.
- We understand that this is sometimes a confusing process. If at any point you don't understand what is expected, please feel free to contact someone for help.

The system will not allow you to check out and then start another person's entries. Before you begin, make sure you have your whole family's entry information. If a change needs to be made after submitting entries, you must contact franklincountyjuniorfair@gmail.com
