We're Glad You're Here!

This newsletter contains important information, so please be sure to read it thoroughly. The information can also be found via ClassDojo and our other social media platforms.

We have started a small book store at school. There will slowly be items that are necessary for students placed on the store. For now we have the following items to start:

Green Homework Folder = $1.00
Composition Notebooks = $1.50
Replacement Charm Necklace = $2.00
School Logo Masks = $5.00

We will add more items as teachers request. We did replace green folders for any student who lost theirs during eLearning. From this point on we will ask that they bring $1 if they need one.

Parent/Family Feedback Survey

Thank you to everyone that completed the survey. The survey is now closed and will be analyzed. We will share the data points and will be in contact ASAP. Thanks again!

Uniform Orders Have Arrived!

The shirt orders came in over the break and will be sent home throughout the week. We do have a few extra of the special edition shirt and we will not be ordering more of them. If you were not able to order one you might want to stop by the office and see if we have the size you need.

Uniform Link Open AGAIN!

We have opened the uniform shop again and will take orders through November 7! This is a GREAT time to order ILH jackets or sweatshirts. Students will get these after Thanksgiving break.

Covid-19 Quarantine Guidance

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) continue to recommend quarantine for a full 14 days and recognize that any quarantine shorter than 14 days balances reduced burden against a small possibility of spreading the COVID virus. CDC and IDOH will continue to evaluate and update guidance and recommendations as necessary. Other than a full 14-day quarantine, there are two other options available for schools.

If anyone in your family begins to show COVID-19 symptoms, please be sure to quarantine/stay home. We will test students at the school if requested.

How To Keep Your Child Safe From The Delta Variant

Updated Attendance Expectations/Policies

  • Doors open at 7:55am and close at 8:05am.
  • Students are considered tardy after 8:10am.
  • Indiana law states that 10 unexcused absences is truancy.
  • If you would like to change your student(s) method of transportation for the day, please be sure to do so as early as possible and notify the school!

Starting Wednesday 8/25/21 we are asking that all drop offs before 8:10am be directed to the front of the building. With that being said, any student that comes in after 8:10am is considered tardy. We ask that parents come in with the student to the back doors and sign on our tardy sheet before they head to class. This ensures that all students are accurately accounted for on the attendance sheet.

Uniform Expectations/Policies

  • Students should wear ILH branded shirt. We do NOT allow homemade shirts.
  • Pants should be a solid color WITHOUT holes or decorations. No leggings. Shoes should be closed toe & closed heel. Hoodies are NOT allowed and if you ordered one over the summer please notify us and we will trade it for a regular sweatshirt (no hood) at no cost.
  • Students can wear jackets into the school but once they get to class, they have to hang the jacket up for the remainder of the day.
  • Students are encouraged to wear long-sleeve shirt underneath ILH shirt, in case they get cold easily. Remember, hoodies are NOT allowed.
  • If your student is not dressed within dress code we will call and request that appropriate clothing/shoes be brought to the school before they return to class.
