Dear LLC Families:
Thanksgiving is a day to express gratitude to those who have made a difference in our life. This is the time of year when we pause from our busy lives and gather with our loved ones. Life is full of simple joys, like when you smell something yummy or step from the cold into a nice warm place. If we were to celebrate these simple joys every day, our life would be one long holiday celebration. We hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving and that you continue to enjoy the holiday season, and experience amazing moments with your loved ones along the way. It is our wish for you that you slow down and embrace every ounce of the little joys around you.
At LLC, we are very thankful for relationships. Having the opportunity to get to know you and your children better with each interaction has been fulfilling and continues to be a joyful experience. Each day as our students walk in, say good morning, and strut to their classroom with confidence is one of our simple joys. Watching them grow just a little bit more each day is our happy place. Thanks for sharing your children with us!
Be well,
Deanne Guastello
A Good Start Makes All The Difference!
Routines and structure give students a sense of understanding of the world and help them develop good habits and organizational skills. When students arrive at school on time they feel calm and ready to go through their daily expectations. It is critical that students attend each component of the curriculum as information overlaps into other parts of the day. Drop off begins at 7:50 AM and the school day starts at 8:00. Our students immediately begin their day with breakfast, the question of the day, signing in, and their morning meeting. Please do your best to help your child be on time. As always, thank you for your partnership.

Many Thanks to the Morris Educational Foundation (MEF)
Thanks to the MEF and its generosity, we have been awarded a grant of $1742.52. These funds will give our students at LLC and at our partner sites an opportunity to bring the farm and curriculum together for meaningful experiences. Our students already enjoyed the pumpkins at the patch and look forward to more activities ahead! The MEF rocks!
Morris Educational Foundation (MEF) Teacher Tributes
The teachers and staff in the Morris School District continue to go above and beyond to make this school year a success. Recognize these creative and dedicated educators with a Teacher Tribute! Honor administrators, coaches, counselors, assistants, custodians, librarians, nurses, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, secretaries, and of course, teachers by making a donation in their name. With your tax-deductible donation, your honoree will receive a personalized certificate with your message to display.
Make your holiday shopping easier this season by honoring special people in your child's school with a Teacher Tribute! $10 minimum per tribute: The deadline for Delivery before December Break is Friday, December 17, and orders received after will be delivered in January 2022.
Tree Study
Discovery Area
You can create a discovery at home by gathering items from the outdoors like sticks, leaves, rocks, and acorns. Items from the kitchen that offers children a sensory experience are also great such as flour, water, small pasta, and measuring cups.
