Friday, May 29th - Last Day of School
Dear Liberty Park Families,
It's hard to believe that today is the last day of the 2019-2020 school year. Thank you for a wonderful school year! Even though the school year did not end quite the way we wanted it to, we all should be proud of how we worked together to make the best of it. Thank you for supporting our entire school community during these difficult times. You all were amazing!
Our student item retrieval and drop off process is next Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 -6:00pm. This is an opportunity to pick up students personal belongings, report cards, medications and drop off any textbooks and library books.. 4th graders will also receive their LP Elementary School Diploma and a special gift to take with them to the Intermediate/Middle Schools. Students with last names A-M are scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd and students with last names N-Z are scheduled for Thursday, June 4th. We will utilize the car rider for this process similar to when we did the device distribution. If possible, please have a sign with your student(s) first and last name displayed in the window of your car to limit contact and expedite the process. This could simply be a paper with names written on it.
Also, just a reminder that early in June, we will be mailing grade level summer learning packets to all students in grades K-8. These packets will focus on essential math and reading skills as well as social-emotional skills. Students will receive an incentive for completing their packet upon returning it to school in the fall.
Our current food outreach program will remain the same for the month of June. Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 AM - 1 PM, and Wednesday from 5:30 - 7:00. Visit our website for locations.
Given our current health environment, I know there is some concern regarding the status of Back to School and what that will look like. Please know that our district is carefully monitoring the situation to ensure we make the best decisions for the start of the school year and will be communicating with you throughout the summer as we have Back to School information to share.
As always, I thank you for your continued support of Liberty Park Elementary! I hope that everyone enjoys the summer with your family! Stay safe.
Your Principal,
Jason Brooks

SCHOOL DISTRICT PUBLICATIONS/NEWS MEDIA USE
The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or your child's school. This may include your child's photo, your child's name or your child's work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in electronic/social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child's achievements. We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to use it for commercial/political purposes. However, we will honor your request to not include your child in these types of recognitions if you notify your child's school office in writing that you do not want this type of information released.
