Steps in a Research Project

“Research is something that everyone can do, and everyone ought to do. It is simply collecting information and thinking systematically about it.”

~ Raewyn Connell

Steps to Success

  • Start with a question, topic, or idea. Maybe your teacher has assigned the topic.
  • Make a list of questions about the topic. What do you need to find out? This is where you write down the things or questions you do not know.
  • Make a list of keywords based on your question.
  • Login to NC Ed Cloud with your student ID and password.
  • If you do not know anything about your topic- First, try Britannica encyclopedia. Next, try Ebsco Explora next. If that does not give you any information, go to https://www.wikipedia.org/ipedia. Wikipedia is fine to use if the article you find has references.
