Introduction
HIV/ AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease that severely lowers the number of healthy immune cells that your body has to fight infections. It's a very serious disease that doctors are learning how to fight.
Effects
HIV can cause you extreme fatigue, pain, weight loss, and rashes to breakout. There is no cure for HIV yet so you will have to deal with all of these symptoms. The amount of pain varies but it can be severe.
From its discovery in 1981 to 2006, the disease had killed over 25 million people. Nearly .06% of the worlds population comes in contact with HIV. Many times people don't even know they are infected with HIV until it's too late. It's a sneaky virus and it's important that you check yourself for it every once in a while.
Conclusion
Although we discovered HIV over 30 years ago, there is still no cure for it. There are over 20 drugs that are available to help HIV patients but none of them get rid of the disease entirely. The earlier that you discover your HIV, the better. That's why it's important you get checked for HIV so you will know if you have it or not. There are tons of people with HIV that don't even know they have it.
