Winter Music Programs
Winter programs are scheduled for next week! The students have been working very hard to prepare. Please save the following dates and come see what they have been preparing for you. Programs will take place in the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. Due to props being used this year, I am recommending that Kinder Prep/Kindergarten students wear something with pockets or loose fitting long sleeves. I am also recommending that First and Second grade students wear something with pockets.

- First Grade- Dec 3 @ 7:30 (Students should arrive after 7:00)
- Second Grade- Dec 11 @ 7:00 (Students should arrive after 6:30)

Bumblebee Preschool Class at SSELC
During the month of November we talked about Grandparents and how they are so special to us. We had a special day for grandparents in our classroom. We made cookies and lemonade, sang songs, made a special gift and made a class book to read to our grandparents. The students had a great day making their grandparents feel loved!
We started the Bread Study, which is part of the curriculum that we use, so for our Thanksgiving Feast the students got to make their own pizzas to go along with the Bread Study! The students did a great job at kneading the dough and making it into a pizza shape. The pizzas turned out wonderful!
We also started Visual Phonics, which is a system of 46 hand shapes with corresponding movements which when used together are called cues. These cues represent the 46 phoneme sounds of spoken English. The students are really catching on!
