One Good Thing About America
Agriculture Feeds the Growing Population
Agriculture is important because with the growing world population, the need for food also grows. Through the use of technologically advanced agricultural practices, American farmers are able to feed that population. One Iowan farmer produces enough to feed 155 people and/or raw materials for everyday necessities such as fuel and textiles.
Why Should I Care?
Without America's farmers and their advances in technology such as the use of herbicides and pesticides, many of the products YOU need to complete your every day routine would not exist! WOAH!

Why is agriculture one good thing about America?
America is the leading producer of both corn and soybeans, both of which are used for many purposes other than consumption. American corn is a cheap way for Chinese farmers to fatten their pigs, helping to contribute to feeding the world population. Agriculture boosts the economy and creates jobs, whether it be farmhands or the processing of the harvested products. Many of the small towns scattered throughout the midwest rely primarily on the sustainable agricultural practices of the surrounding farms.
