ALP Goal Process - What to Expect
The Advanced Learning Plan (ALP) is an electronic document/task for all students that have been identified as Gifted.
Goal writing will happen during their ALP Me time and facilitated by staff. Students get feedback and guidance from staff in writing the goals. Students own their ALP document and are instructed to share the document with parents.
Once goals are determined, this information is shared with Mesa teaching staff. Students will be given time during ME time to reflect and revise goals throughout the year using this document. Staff will also use this document to communicate progress.
Our goal at Mesa is to support the goal writing process and allow the student to be as independent as appropriate per the students needs.
