Morning Drop Off for K-5 Students
- Drop off is between 7:40 and 7:45 AM. (Any student who enters after our 7:50 AM bell is considered tardy and must be escorted into the main office by an adult who can sign that student in.)
- Enter from the Klem South Drive & make a loop around our front parking lot.
- Drop students off at the base of the building at the crosswalk (Red X on map).
- Exit out of Klem South Drive.
- See map above.
After School Pickups
Our after school programs at Klem North have increased this year. Many of our children are attending WonderCare, fourth and fifth graders are participating in Activity Period, and soon our PTSA and other outside organizations plan on having clubs back up and running.
As a result, we want to streamline our pick up procedures. All families who are picking up their child(ren) from any of these after school programs listed above should report to Door #17 (when looking at the building, this door is to the right of the main entrance). For the safety and security of our students, a staff member will be at this door ready to greet you until 6:00 PM.
Just to clarify, our main office foyer will also still be the pick up location at our normal dismissal time (2:00 PM) and on all half days due to parent teacher conferences (10:00 AM).
Thank you,
Laura
Notes from Our Nurse
Influenza (the flu) is usually in season from October through March. Remember it is easily transmitted through the air (ie sneezing) & close personal contact. Cold & flu viruses can linger on doorknobs, telephone receivers and other surfaces. It is important to wash your hands frequently & try to avoid rubbing your eyes & nose or putting your hands around your mouth.
Regarding colds/flu here are some guidelines to use in determining whether your child should stay at home:
- Fever greater than 100.4 orally.
- Child is too ill, sleepy or lethargic to sit all day in school.
- Severe headache, especially if accompanied by a fever (contact your healthcare provider).
- Severe sore throat, with fever or lethargy, lasting longer than 48 hours (contact healthcare provider). Reminder: If your child has had a throat culture for strep, he/she may NOT be in school until the results are known. If your child is diagnosed with strep, he/she MUST be on antibiotics 24 hours before returning to school.
Please be sure to send your child in with winter coat, hat, gloves, snow suit and boots.
Thank you for sending in your child’s physical if they are in K, 1st, 3rd and 5th grades.
Please notify me with any health concerns for your child.
An order from your physician must accompany any medication that is to be administered in the health office. An adult must drop off the medication to the health office. Students are not allowed to transport medication of any kind.

From the Board of Education

WCSD Faculty and Staff Share Their Stories
Hayes Photography of Webster, in partnership with the Webster Central School District (WCSD), is pleased to announce the second installment of We All Have a Story: The Stories Continue, a photography exhibit featuring portraits and personal narratives of 21 WCSD faculty and staff members. The exhibit will be open to the public at the Webster Public Library, 980 Ridge Road, from Sunday, December 1 through Tuesday, December 31, during the library’s normal business hours: Monday-Thursday, 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; and Sundays, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Please note that the library is closed for the holidays on December 24, 25, and 31. There will be an opening reception for the exhibit on Tuesday, December 3, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at the library that will also be open to the public.
During the 2017-18 school year, portrait photographer and WCSD teaching assistant Linda Dow Hayes wanted to design a meaningful, personal project that would give back to her WCSD colleagues and reflect WCSD’s vision: Compassionately Connected, Joyfully Engaged, Always Learning. The idea of connecting with interested WCSD faculty and staff members by taking their portraits allowed her to grow as an artist and connect with the community at large. Due to the success of the spring 2018 exhibit, the second phase of the project kicked off in January 2019, with finished images being shown throughout December at the Webster Public Library. Please stop by the library throughout December to enjoy this unique exhibit.
