Newsletter Week of September 12, 2022

Hello NRHS Community,

I hope this message finds you doing well and that you enjoyed the weekend. We are in our first (mostly) full week of school.

Reminder that students have an early release on Friday for staff professional development.

Reminder to families to please complete the Returning Student Registration in Powerschool. Parents/Guardians were sent an email with instructions. This is required for all returning students. Contact Theresa Slade or Marcia Winter for assistance.

I have also posted below for reference expectations for students for study halls and for the cafeteria during lunch for reference. We are working diligently to support positive student behaviors.

Picture Day for NRHS students is Tuesday, September 20th. Picture order forms were handed out in Homeroom last week. If your student received the Sports Picture Order Form instead of the regular order form, send your student to the main office to pick up the regular order form. Seniors should have their picture taken to update their information in Powerschool.

Sports Picture Day is Monday, September 19th. Order forms for sports pictures are also available in the Main Office.

Save the Date: NRHS Back to School Night is Wednesday 9/21 beginning at 6:30pm.

Have a great week!

Best,

Dr. Kathleen Boynton, principal

Library Study Hall Sign Ups

Students in grades 10-12 can sign up ahead of time to go to the library. The sign up window opens every Sunday evening for the upcoming week. Use the link below to access the sign up portal.

https://sites.google.com/nrsd.net/nrhslibrary/library-study-hall-sign-up

Students will sign up for library study hall for the coming week beginning on Sunday evening. Students must sign up in advance, but will be able to do so up until the bell rings for the period to start.

IT Update for students

The IT department reminds students to bring their Chromebooks to school everyday full charged. They are not able to continually support and provide loaners to students who forget their device or did not charge it.

Students who have an issue or problem with their Chromebook will continue to receive tech support through the usual process.
