From the Principal...
Hello Seton Community,
Hurray! What an amazing spring we are having at Seton Catholic. We have had a successful Mane Event, registration is going well with 29 new students currently signed up for 2021-22, and we continue to be blessed with face-to-face classes.
As we enter into the final stretch of the academic year, we have a number of end of the year assessments that students will be taking. The Wisconsin Forward, for students in grades 3-8, begins on Monday, April 19. In addition, all students will also be taking final reading and math assessments in early May. Please do your best to make sure that your children are healthy and in attendance daily. These assessments are important for academic and staffing decisions in the future.
Thank you for your partnership in education. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us.

Grade Four STEM
Before spring break the 4th graders worked on a couple of different Easter-themed projects during science. Both involved building towers using different popular Easter materials like plastic Easter eggs or jelly beans. The goal was to build a tower that was the highest and could stand up on it's own.
* Religion: First Communion heartfelt writing
* Social Studies: Junior Achievement...inventing their own doughnut to make in production and sell within the community
* Language Arts: creating their own diary, being the author and illustrator of their own Best Seller book!
Safe Environment Week is April 18-24, 2021

Recess Supervisor Needed
You may have heard in the news that the CDC has released options to reduce the length of COVID-19 quarantines. I have attached the Sheboygan County Recommendations for your review. Seton Catholic will be using those recommendations as listed below. We will maintain a 14 day quarantine as we are in a setting with many people and the potential for spread. Please be diligent with safety precautions as we are hoping to stay face to face for your children.
14 day no symptoms, no test option:
This is a 14-day quarantine from Seton School. The quarantine begins with the start of symptoms or the day of last contact with a positive case. The student can return to school without a doctor note after 14 days and if he/she has no symptoms. These days will be tracked in the office.
7 day no symptoms, negative test option:
Quarantine can end after day 7 of quarantine with a negative test and no symptoms if the test was taken no sooner than day 6 of the quarantine. The quarantine begins with the start of symptoms or day of last contact with a positive case. The student can return to school with a dated confirmation of a negative test and no symptoms. The days will be tracked in the school office.
Please note that household contacts are handled differently.

Support Pride in Partnership
The pandemic has been hard on many members of our community. Not only has it impacted our health and school routines, it has created many challenges for our local business. In response, Seton Catholic has created the Pride in Partnership program. We are recognizing local businesses who have agreed to post our Pride in Partnership flyer.
We ask that you support these businesses by using their services and purchasing their products. If you are considering a donation to our 2021 Mane Event, consider a gift card from one of the following Pride in Partnership members.
