We are hosting our 7th and 8th grade band students from Danville MS on Friday.

Students need to bring these items with them to school on Friday.

Pep Rally Attire

• Band - Jeans, gray band polo, and athletic shoes
• Guard - Summer uniform

Formal Uniform Parts for game

• Band - long black socks, marching shoes, compression shirt and shorts, gloves, athletic shorts for run-through
• Color guard - show hair and makeup, body tights, black socks, show undergarments, and guard shoes

Here are some things to consider for band students in the formal uniform.

• Hair needs to be up off the collar – use only black hair ties.

• No make-up or jewelry may be worn, except class rings and SLT bracelets. Please remove all finger nail polish this week. Ear/nose/eye piercings must be covered with a bandaid if they cannot be removed.

Schedule for the day

• 7th Period - Check in with 7th period for attendance, then report to band hall to prepare for pep rally
• 4:00 Pep Rally

• 4:30 Feed the Band

• 5:00 Run through at practice field in compression gear, athletic shorts, long black socks, and marching shoes

• 5:30 Move equipment to stadium

• 6:00 Inspection in full uniform and march to the stadium with Danville band students

• 6:40 Pre-game ceremonies

• 7:00 Davenport vs. Lockhart Football Game

• ~10:00 Post Game Performance of "Full Circle" (Halftime performance will be with middle school band students)

• ~10:30 Approximate pick-up time at DHS Band Hall

• 10 am - Audition Begins
• 2 pm - Approximate end time, load, and leave
• 2:30 pm - Stop for food on the way home (bring $$)
• ~3:15pm - Parent pick-up at Davenport HS

The uniform committee is looking for volunteers to help with laundering and organizing throughout the season. This dirty consists of taking a few uniforms home to wash, placing them back in the uniform bags, and returning them to school before the next game. We anticipate no more than 4-5 launderings throughout the season.

• The first is for directors to communicate with both parents and students. We used this Friday to let everyone know the game was delayed 30 minutes due to rain.
• The second is for section parents to communicate with parents in their section.
