Significance of Clara Barton
Clara Barton was one of the first women to help wounded or dying soliders on the battlefield. She started prioritizing soliders by how bad their wounds were. We still use this method on the battlefields today. She also founded the American Red Cross which is on origanization that sends aid to people in need.

She founded the American Red Cross on May 21, 1881 in Washington, D.C.
Helping wounded soliders
By Clara Barton coming on the battlefield and helping in the wounded she save many lives that would have been lost do to poor pirorty or infection. She was also the one who started chainging the bandeges on soliders.
Clara Barton was featured on a postage stamp for the American Red Cross.

She has been an inspiration to many people to help everybody that they can through the American Red Cross.
