Mrs. Bearden's Weekly Update
November 29, 2021
Dear Eagle Canyon Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! Thank you for your generous donations to support the Food for Life food drive. Food for Life supported 450 families with donations of turkeys and other food items. Thanks to your support, 450 families in our community enjoyed the gift of food.
We have a quick three-week sprint to Winter Break. Stay up to date by reading through the Weekly Update and check out the daily activities by accessing the Daily Bulletin below.
DEDICATED PARKING SPOTS
During the Fall Family Festival, two families bid and won two parking spaces in our parking lot. These two spots are dedicated and reserved for these families only. Please show respect by avoiding parking in these spots with the orange cones assigned to the families.
PEACHJAR
CVUSD is encouraging all flyers to be delivered digitally. They have invested in Peachjar, a digital platform, to advertise all school flyers. Please visit the link below to visit current Eagle Canyon flyers.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs. Bearden

At Home Health Screenings
Overall, our students and families have done an outstanding job with wearing face coverings while indoors, practicing proper hand hygiene, and following layered strategies in place to decrease viral transmission. While we continue to work together to support a healthy routine that mitigates positive COVID-19 cases, we must remain vigilant as variants of the virus spread among our population. To that end, please continue to screen your student at home each morning prior to arriving on campus. If your student begins to experience at least one high-risk symptom, or two or more low-risk symptoms, related to COVID-19, please keep your student at home, consult a healthcare provider, and notify the school office.
Our hardworking Health Services Department has provided a letter outlining common COVID-19 symptoms to screen for that can be found on the District website at https://www.chino.k12.ca.us/Page/21678.
Released Time Christian Education
The Released Time Christian Education program is now expanding to 3rd through 6th graders effective November 8th. The program, taught outside in their bus by volunteers, requires your written approval, and the forms are located in our office in the Released Time box.The teaching date is Thursday and the one hour time to participate begins at 1:45 pm. If there are more than eight students, a waiting list will be established.
PARENTS ON CAMPUS
Parents attending pre-arranged meetings, such as parent/teacher conferences, IEP meetings, EL Parent Meetings, as well as School Site Council Meetings do not have to provide vaccination or Negative COVID test results if there are not any students attending the meeting.
Parents, out of safety for everyone, please do not enter campus gates before or after school.
We appreciate your cooperation.
PBIS Update
The Tier I team will educate parents on PBIS practices, the why behind PBIS, and how you can implement these practices at home. When children here the same consistent messages, they more successful they will be.
Eagle Canyon Service Project
We are happy to collect the pop tabs every week. You can send them with your children.
Support Eagle Canyon
A popular fundraising opportunity all families can support is Box Tops. Download the Box Top app on your phone. All you have to do is scan your receipts on the Box Top app within 14 days of the purchase. The app will let you know if any of the items purchased qualify. If so, we earn 10 cents per product.
As of today, our school has earned $52.00 this year. Our goal is to earn $1,000.00. If you also get the coupons, please turn them in to the school office. Thank you in advance for your support!
