Migration is Beautiful

Join us for a screening of the documentary "Migration is Beautiful," followed by a poster making workshop with special guest Julio Salgado! The event will be held in the upper level of the ARC building on Thursday, February 25th from 5:30-8:30PM.

Julio Salgado is the co-founder of His status as an undocumented, queer activist has fueled the contents of his visual art, which depict key individuals and moments of the undocumented movement. Undocumented people and allies across the country have used Salgado’s artwork to call attention to the youth-led movement.

This event is sponsored by Cascadia Activities Board, UWB Social Justice Organizers and UWB Campus Events Board.

ONE simple application allows you to be considered for a Cascadia College Foundation scholarship. 25 - 30 scholarships will be awarded this year to help you achieve your goals – averaging $1,550 per award. The application and guide are available NOW on the college’s scholarship webpage. Submit your application by email at, or drop it off at the 1st Floor Information Desk or the Foundation Office (CC2-281E). The deadline is 5:00PM, March 4th, 2016. All Cascadia students and prospective students are invited to apply.
