Taking a Bite out of Blended
Spotlight on all things blended and beyond
Meet the Sunny Heights Personalized Learning Team
"I am excited to be a part of the personalized learning team because I believe every child is entitled to learn at their own personal level and pace. I am excited to learn how to make the switch from a traditional classroom to a personalized learning classroom."
"I am excited to be a part of the personalized learning team because of the opportunity to collaborate with my colleagues while learning how to adapt and change to meet the needs of our children. 'Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.'"
"I am excited to be a part of the personalized learning team because I am already loving the changes I've made in my classroom towards personalized learning. Students are engaged, self-reflecting, and showing growth! I can't wait to learn more and pass what I've learned along."
Check out Room 6
Mrs. Helfrich has made some small changes to her room that have made a huge difference!
Mrs. Helfrich's small group table. She raised the legs on the table to offer students an opportunity to stand while they are at this table.
Desks for digital content area are turned so Mrs. Helfrich can see the screens while she is teaching at the small group table.
The second graders all have cubbies where they keep their folders and various supplies.
Mrs. Roberson found this great website, collabortivemathematics.org. Although it is geared towards older grades, it has some great ideas for how to structure collaborative work! Thanks for this great find!

During this month's Tweet Chat we will explore learning behaviors that promote success, and how we can turn these new behaviors into habits. We hope you can join us for an hour of deep discussion and collaboration. ~Kathy, Kate, Leslie, and Carey
