Science Team wins 10th Place Team and 3 Individual Medals
The results from the Dick Smith Memorial Invitational Tournament from last weekend are in! This is a large national tournament run by the Pennsylvania Science Olympiad.
RMSST earned the 10th Place Team Trophy, our 2nd team trophy from this tournament.
Our students also won 3 individual medals.
- Andrew Land and Allison Huynh took 4th place in Dynamic Planet
- Kayla Holland and Saidah Hoyte took 6th place in Ichthyology.
- Andrew Land and Isabella Waller took 10th place in Scrambler.
We also had several students finish just outside the top 10 in their events, helping our team to have such a high overall placement. Please congratulate these students, the team, and coaches for their excellent results.

Reminder: Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) and Tutor.com, one of the world’s largest online tutoring services, have partnered to provide live, online tutoring services for RCPS students. Through this partnership, quarantined RCPS students in grades 6-12 can access live tutors on-demand, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from Tutor.com for 1-to-1 learning support. RCPS students in grades K-12 can access the same expert tutors afterschool.
The service provides homework help across more than 120 subjects, along with drop-off essay review and test prep.
Students can access Tutor.com through the ClassLink landing page in any internet browser on their school-issued laptop or device, which will automatically sign in the student to their account. Or they can visit https://launchpad.classlink.com/rockdale.
