Picture Retake Day
Pre-orders are not done for retakes. Instead, orders can be placed afterwards - your student will be sent home with their ordering info at the time of pictures.
New Yearbook Ordering Site!
This year, yearbooks can be ordered ONLINE ONLY through Josten's. If you place your order by 9/17 you will receive free icons on your book! Prices will increase after November 5th, so be sure to order early.

Yearbook Senior Pictures & Ads
New this year, senior pictures will be submitted directly to the Josten's website. Senior pictures are due by November 6th and must be submitted to this link in order to be included in the yearbook. If your photographer is submitting your portrait, please make sure to share this info with them, as it is a different process than previous years.
Senior baby ads will be created on the Josten's website by following these instructions. Ads will be 1/8 of a page and will be designed online by the person submitting the ad. Yearbook ads are to feature senior students only, and there is a limit of one ad per senior student. Each ad is $50 and the deadline is February 10th.

2021 Homecoming Information
The Homecoming Dance is scheduled for Saturday, Oct 9 from 7:30 - 10pm. Ticket sales begin on Monday, Oct 4. Dance tickets are $10 per person (cash and check only!) and are sold in the office from 7:00 am - 7:15 am, during lunches, and 2:35 - 3:30 pm. National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalists

PSAT Registration Opens Soon!
We are offering our sophomores and juniors the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT test. Priority registration for the Wednesday, October 13th PSAT/NMSQT will be open to all juniors on Sunday, September 19th. Registration will open for Sophomores on Wednesday, September 22nd. Students will receive an email with a google form for registration on Sunday afternoon. Once the form is submitted students will bring their payment of $18 to Student Services to complete their registration. Parents will not be able to access the registration link. Please encourage your child to sign up immediately as we are limited with the number of tests we can offer. The test will be held at FHS on Wednesday, October 13th beginning at 7:20am. All college bound sophomores and juniors are encouraged to take the PSAT/NMSQT. This is an optional test that assesses academic skills and helps prepare students for college admission testing. This test is also how juniors can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship program. Only junior year scores will be used for National Merit consideration! Registration is strictly limited and will fill up quickly! Please note that October 13th will be the only test date offered at FHS this school year. AP Exam Ordering
All AP students should have received the two-page electronic handout found here in their AP courses. Please read this document carefully for details, including the exam schedule on the second page. All AP Students should also join the FHS AP Students Google Classroom with the code given to them from teachers or found on the PDF handout. A brief informational video can also be found here regarding the My AP site and exam ordering procedures.
Students must log-in to their My AP Account (myap.collegeboard.org), join the appropriate course section (or exam-only section, if applicable) with the join code given to them by their AP teacher(s), and MUST opt-in to ordering each exam, if they wish to do so, in My AP for each class. Each exam costs $96 (AP Seminar and AP Research are $144). Fee waivers are available for students with demonstrated financial need (see Student Services for a request form). Students who may need accommodations on AP exams per an IEP or 504 Plan should see Mr. Decker in Student Services this fall. All exam orders online on My AP and payment submissions in Student Services (exact cash or check made out to Franklin High School with student name and AP exam name[s] in memo line) are due by 3 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021. Note that the College Board's $40 exam cancellation and/or late order fee is back for this school year. Please see Mrs. Oost or Mrs. Bednar in Student Services if you have questions at any time. Metals Recycling Drive for Robotics Team
HAWS Animal Career Exploration
The Humane Animal Welfare Society will be starting a new school-year session of our club for high school students called Animal Career Exploration (ACE). This program is geared towards students who are interested in joining a profession working with animals. At ACE programs students will have an opportunity to hear from and ask questions to speakers from various types of careers.
Students will hear guest speakers from a variety of professions talking about what they do from day to day in their job, what training and education was required for that profession, and what high school students can do now to start to plan for that career.
The cost for HAWS ACE is $15.00 per session. The first meeting is on Wednesday, October 6 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
