The Atkins diet is centered around frozen meals and other products containing low net carbs. When an individual starts the program, the company promises that you may "lose up to 15 pounds in two weeks!" When combined with exercise, reports of 5-10 lbs of weight lost per week was not uncommon.However, the amount of pounds a user may lose has more to do with wether or not they follow the directions of the diet thoroughly and also depends on metabolism, so when reading "loose up to 15 lbs in 2 weeks!", users must be aware that that's not always the case and they should be prepared for that.
