HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 1 Week 6 - 10 March 2017
MESSAGE FROM MARK:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to our new look newsletter! We hope that you will find the change makes the newsletter more accessible. It is a work in progress, and one we look forward to making better and better.
It has been a calm and enjoyable week at school, with children actively engaged in all facets of their learning, and this has been a real pleasure to witness.
What is also great to note is the big number of parents and guardians who have been volunteering in school. That so many of you are able to be involved – for example, creating Superheroes, swimming trials, junior primary reading groups, assisting the Year Six community service groups, Kindy and Preprimary helpers, in Leanna’s tuckshop, after school sport coaching – is wonderful to witness. A whole lot of support also takes place behind the scenes with Parent Class Representatives, School Board and P&F Executive members for example, and this too is of immense benefit to our school. A number of parents and guardians also contribute offsite, assisting in different ways.
Holy Rosary is all the richer for the gifts you all share with us. We truly are grateful. Holy Rosary would not be the school it is without you.
Have a great weekend
Mark de Kluyver
Principal

R E NEWS
Caritas Australia, through Project Compassion, provides us with a practical way of supporting those less fortunate in our world. In support of Project Compassion, we share this initiative with the school community by talking about Project Compassion with the children and sending home a Project Compassion Box and leaflet to each family from Preprimary to Year 6.
Hopefully, these boxes with any donations made can be returned to school at the end of the term. Our Project Compassion donations are forwarded to Our Lady of the Rosary Parish.
Message from Archbishop Costelloe

SWIMMING TRIALS
MISSING
An Ikea table and three chairs are missing from outside the Year 1C Classroom. They are used for Marlee to enjoy lunch with her friends (we call it Marlee's Cafe). If anyone has an idea about where they may have gone, please let the office know. Thanks.
LIBRARY NEWS
You may have seen some of your old favourites come home in your child’s library bag this week as we celebrate “The Classics”. Enid Blyton is our Author of the Month and her books have been rediscovered and enjoyed! We are building a beautiful Easter display with the help from our lower primary artists. It looks more colourful each day!
