introduction
have you ever imagined going into a loominus doom, or see the calmest sea. in sleeping in the forest and prayer to pacific you can read what it feels like when it happens. these are very similar yet different poems.
tone and word choice
in prayer to the pacific it has a respectful, serious tone to it as said in lines 3-5. while sleeping in the forest is a sad tone as stated in lines 14-16.
figurative language
in sleeping in the forest there is personification in line 1-2
and similes in lines 6-7, 9-11, and 14-15. then in prayer to the pacific there is personification in lines 10, 31, and 12-14 and then there is a simile in line 5.
format
in prayer to the pacific it looks like waves and has spaces every now and then and is free verse. then in sleeping in the forest it looks like a snowman and is free verse with a little bit of rhythm.
conclusion
As you can see these two poem's are very similar. Yet they are unique at the same time as there own special poem. they both have a respectful tone. mainly prayer to pacific is a prayer and sleeping in the forest the girls dying.
