Francisco's Farm Arts Festival Volunteers Needed
All,
I hope some of you will plan to volunteer during the Francisco's Farm Arts Festival on May 16-17, 2015. It’s not too late! Visit the website www.franciscosfarm.org and click on the “Become a Volunteer” link or you can contact me (Debra Shockley) directly at: dshockley@rosstarrant.com or 859-227-8993.
Our biggest need at this time is volunteers for Sunday, May 17th. We have two shifts 9:30 to 2:00 and 2:00 to 5:30.
Some positions are:
Parking attendants – primarily a lot of arm waving to direct cars into a large paddock.
Artist Zone Volunteers – We have the 80+/- artists divided into 4 zones on campus. You would periodically walk around and check on each artists in your zone to see if they need anything or need to take a break and you would “booth sit”. Booth sitting is just that. You hang out in their booth while they grab a snack, more product to sell, or take a potty break. No sales are required. You simply tell patrons that the artist will be right back.
Golf Cart Drivers – Since parking on campus is limited we also use a large grass paddock on the farm adjacent to the college and shuttle patrons in golf carts back and forth between parking and the festival.
You will get a parking pass and a t-shirt!
Looking forward to seeing you!
Regards,
Debra Shockley
