Hello Falcon families,

Per the Board of Education's decision this week, students will begin virtual learning on Monday, November 23 and continue through the end of the first semester, January 21.

Next Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, will resemble “at-home” learning days similar to your child’s off-days during hybrid learning. Beginning Monday November 30, we will follow the virtual learning, which will be shared on November 24. It will be similar to our previous virtual learning schedule from September.

Hybrid Group “A” students (Monday/Tuesday) will be allowed the opportunity to access the building next Monday or Tuesday should they need to retrieve belongings from their lockers, band instruments, etc. Students needing to pick up items may do so during the hours of 9:00am-Noon and again from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Lastly, we will be sending additional communication to families next Tuesday that will outline the meeting codes for all teachers’ homeroom, class, and help session codes. The communication will also include the VL schedule and student expectations during virtual learning for reference.

Thank you in advance for your continued flexibility and patience as we respond to the growing percentage of community spread and the need to maintain the safety of our students and staff.

David Mitchell

Principal, SLMS

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Break is November 25-27. There will be no "virtual" school during this time.

Summit Lakes Middle School Staff wishes all of its Falcon families a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. We are thankful for YOU!

school picture make-up and re-take day (UPDATED INFORMATION)

For students who were absent for school pictures, the make-up day will be on Wednesday, December 2 from 7:00-9:00 am (this is a change from what was previously published). This is your LAST CHANCE to have your student's picture in the school yearbook.

If students would like a re-take, they may do that at this time as well. The cost is $5 for re-takes. The full retake policy is described on the picture packets. If you ordered pictures but would like a re-take, please bring your purchased pictures with you on your retake day so you can exchange the same package at no extra cost.
