Monthly Newsletter: Back to School Edition
High Point Academy Families
In this back-to-school edition, you will find information about back-to-school night, preparing for the first-day arrival/dismissal, as well as a sneak peek for how you can get more involved this year.
For those you anxiously waiting to find out about your child's teacher, you can expect to receive a personalized message via email early next week, and then you will get a chance to meet teachers during our back-to-school event.
If you have any questions in the coming weeks as you prepare for the new school year, please reach out to info@highpointacademy.net and we will be happy to help!
Wishing you all an enjoyable end to your summer!
With Gratitude,
Meredith Stolte
Executive Director
Back to School Night
Save the Date: August 11th, 5:00-7:00pm
Back-to-School night is a great way to get to know our teachers, meet new friends (and visit old friends), see our amazing updates to the playground, and get connected to all that High Point Academy has to offer. During teacher information sessions you will see your child's classroom, learn a little bit about what students will be learning, and share with us about your child! Come enjoy lots of fun activities including vendors, a bounce house, the bookmobile, food trucks, and more. You do not want to miss this amazing annual event! Here is a flyer with more information.
Preparing For Arrival/Dismissal
Family and Community Engagement
- Join the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). This group will meet monthly to support and enrich the educational experience of all our scholars, with the goal of ensuring a positive educational experience for every student!
- Monthly Meetings with Meredith. Our new Executive Director is excited to connect with you all to share about our school and get feedback on the experience we are providing to both families and students.
- Quarterly School Accountability Committee. Do you want to learn more about our academic program, where we are seeing our scholars meet grade-level standards, and explore where we have room to grow? This committee might be a great fit for you!
- Parent/Community Volunteers! Starting in September, we are so excited to welcome volunteers back to High Point! Interested in reading in a classroom? Would you like to support students to have a great experience in the lunchroom? Would you be willing to support a teacher with copies/materials preparation? There will be many opportunities to get involved!
More information about signing up and participating in these opportunities will be coming in our August Newsletter.
