Myers-Wilkins Wolf Tracks
March 2018 - Issue 8
Greetings!
We are in the last third of the school year. My how time flies! I want to thank you for coming out to parent teacher conferences this past month. It was great to see our families. We also had a good Books for Bingo turn out. I have returned from my maternity leave and want to thank Joanna Walters who served as the interim principal during my leave. She will continue in her previous role as our fantastic dean. Just a quick reminder to send your child in appropriate gear for the weather outside and ensure to label it. If you need support with this please contact Stephan Witherspoon at ext. 2501. Also remember to check the lost and found if your child has lost a piece of clothing.
Thank you for all you do for your child(ren) here at Myers-Wilkins. We appreciate your support.
Go Wolves! Paw Pride!

Leaders of the Pack Award for February
We continue to have all school monthly morning meetings and recognition assemblies. We have created the "Leaders of the Pack Award." Each month one student from every class is nominated that is demonstrating our core values of being respectful, responsible and safe. The students parents are called and asked to come to the assembly but their child does not find out till the day of the assembly. We are proud to highlight our February "Leaders of the Pack:"
Masen Robison, Aniya Blakely, Emma Hanson, Josie Bishop, Hunter Lacy, Hailey Schoeder, Lawrence Kelly-Weeks, Alaina Curtis, Raleyah Bender, Hermione Linn, Nadaly Jentoft, Caleb Erdman, Mason Pederson, Anja Erickson, John Onyemekeihia, Annie Bishop, Deon Hendrickson, Damien Farr, Stella Sorenson, Nyasiah Sias, Melissa Delgado, Jossyln Porter, and Realone Moore.
Congratulations to our leaders! We can't wait to see who is nominated for the month of March. Our next assembly will be April 6th.

Thnk Kids Community Listening Sessions
On Wednesday March 28, Myers-Wilkins will be hosting a Think Kids community Listening Session from 5:45PM - 8:00PM. This is one of many that are being hosted throughout the school district. The purpose of these sessions is to learn more about what's happening now, what needs to be done and help identify priorities as we prepare for the future.
Family Dinner Night with our Parent Student Advisory Council
Myers-Wilkins has a very active and inclusive parent group. We get together the second Tuesday of each month. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 13th. There is child care and if you need a ride here you can contact Jen Eddy from our Collaborative office @ ext 2459. Family Dinner Night will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
