Last week the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Gresham Barlow School District have announced that the indoor mask mandate will be lifted on March 11th. This means starting Monday March 14th masks within schools will be optional for each student. In this new phase, determining whether to wear a mask is a personal decision.

We want to make it CLEAR that we support and respect everyone, whether they are wearing a mask or not. Bullying or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Please take a moment to talk to your student(s) about this being a choice that each family will make for themselves. This is a safe environment for all students and staff and we want everyone to feel like their personal decision is respected.

iHealth Test Kits

With the upcoming changes in the mask mandates the Oregon Health Authority(OHA), Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and The Gresham Barlow School District (GBSD) all remain committed to school safety. OHA and ODE have supplied all Title I schools, which Hollydale is, with at home test kits to send home with each student. We will be sending test kits home with all students next week.

March 14th- Hollydale swag ordering begins!

If you or a family member have been wanting to get a Hollydale shirt or sweatshirt, this is the time! Order forms will be going home with students and can be returned with cash or check to your child’s teacher. T shirts, long sleeve shirts, and hoodie sweatshirts will be available in youth and adult sizes in black, grey, and our NEW color, royal blue!

Orders will be filled each week and you can order anytime!

March 16th 5:00pm- first in person PTC meeting for the 2021-2022 school year! Located in the Hollydale library. All parents and staff are welcome, however there will be no child care provided- so no children will be allowed to attend. Nominations for the 2022-2023 PTC board members will be held at this meeting. If you are interested in serving on the board of your Hollydale PTC please email Lindsay Cereghino at president@hollydaleptc.org

March 28th- Spring fundraiser kick off! We are so excited to announce our spring fundraiser that will run March 28th-April 11th. This is a great opportunity for students and families to help raise funds to support school activities and functions like field trips and class parties. Be on the lookout for more information coming home with students soon!

Hello Hollydale families!

This Spring the Hollydale SUN program will be offering FREE After School programming.

FOR: grades 1-5,

DATES: April 11 to June 9

DAYS: Monday-Thursday

TIME: from 3:00 to 5:20pm

TRANSPORTATION: Bus or pick up

A hot meal and snack will be provided each day. Currently the planned classes are Art,

Math, and Science. There will also be homework and reading time. Once the number

of students is confirmed, we will be contacting families about their specific class


Registration forms will be available next week in the office for your student to pick up

Parent Requests for In-District Transfers - Deadline is March 31, 2022

The Gresham-Barlow School District will accept in-district transfer requests for the 2022-2023 school year during the month of March only.

If you live within the Gresham-Barlow district and want your child to attend a Gresham-Barlow school outside of your attendance area, you need to request an in-district transfer. If your student currently has an in-district transfer and is moving from elementary to middle or middle to high, please submit a new request.

A digital transfer request form will be available on the Transfers section of the district website, http://gresham.k12.or.us/Page/2249. The link to this form can also be emailed to you directly if you request it from any GBSD school or district office. Forms must be submitted by March 31, 2022.

You will be notified in writing after review of all requests. Please note: kindergarten and first grade requests may not be decided upon until late summer after elementary registration. For further information, contact the Gresham-Barlow School District Office at 503-261-4575.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-2023 School Year is OPEN!!!

If you or someone you know has a child who will be 5 year old on or before September 1, 2022 they can register for Kindergarten NOW!!

Registration is online through ParentVUE and can be accessed HERE.

If you or someone you know has a student who will be 5 years old by September 1, 2022, and will be attending Hollydale as a kindergartener in the fall please mark your calendar!! We will be hosting a Connect to Kindergarten event Wednesday, April 20, 2022. More details to come.

State Testing Opt Out

State Testing for grades 3-5 is between April 1, 2022 and June 10, 2022. If you would like to Opt your student out please complete the attached form.

Immunization Exlcusion Day

Immunization Exclusion Day is April 20, 2022.

Your student(s) should be up to date with any of their required vaccinations by April 20, 2022 in order to remain in school by that date. If your child has recently received their vaccinations, or if you would like to check the status on your child's vaccination record, you can email Jessica Nguyen @ nguyen74@gresham.k12.or.us or feel free to contact the office at (503) 661-6226.
