Do you know what to do if you infant stopped breathing? If you are unsure of what to do in a medical emergency concerning your infant; do not hesitate to join our CPR class. Infants don't need CPR for the same reasons as adults.

Reasons why a baby’s heartbeat and breathing may stop include the following:

  • Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)
  • Suffocation
  • Choking
  • Severe asthma
  • Poisoning
  • Near drowning
  • Smoke inhalation
  • Head trauma
  • Electrical shockzObstructive apnea

It is recommended that one takes a CPR class before your baby is born but it’s better late than never. Every parent should know how and when to perform CPR because administering CPR improperly can be harmful to your child.
