School-wide Goals
The libraries are implementing the school-wide goals this year by providing resources for faculty and staff on:
Library Curriculum
All grades - finding good fit books, review of non fiction and strategies for finding sections in the dewey decimal system, Mexican folklore
3rd -6th - using the library catalog
Kinder - rhyming books, nursery rhymes
Library Blogs
Circulation Statistics
Elementary Statistics
Jr. High Statistics
Scholastic Book Fair
The libraries held book fairs in September. Profits from the book fairs are used to fund the school libraries and teacher classroom libraries as well. The book fairs at the Jr. High and Elementary sold over $8,000 worth of products and the library was able to purchase over $3,500 worth of books.
