We have a done a great job with this ... AWESOME!!!!!!!

Thank you!!

Attendance Notifications From District Offices

We have fielded multiple questions regarding this issue and I apologize for not addressing the larger group before today.

Attendance notes (your notes to us) are updated at the end of each week typically (sometimes it is daily.) If, after a week , your child's attendance has not been reconciled please email Mrs. Mealey @ robin.mealey@austinisd.org.

The district's automated system (from which these emails are generated) does not differentiate between excused, unexcused, and/or quarantine - they are simply informing you that your child was out.

While this is a slight inconvenience at the elementary level you may come to appreciate it when your child gets a little older and perhaps is not as forthright about their day to day whereabouts during school hours.

Thanks for understanding !!!!

Book Fair

BOOKS BRING US TOGETHER!

This fall we’re focusing on favorite series and characters, reconnecting with friends, and the unique power of books to bring us together!

Books make connections in all kinds of relationships – stories tie us together where-ever we are. Books inspire us to inspire each other. They motivate us to jump out of our seats to meet our favorite characters as they leap off the page toward us. They give us reason to support each other, to rally together as we build a foundation for a new generation of readers. Books are a window into exciting times ahead and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Let’s turn a new page together!

Our Jungle Book Fair is November 15th-19th in person, on campus!

Book Fair will be open to students ALL day November 15th -18th. And until 12 p.m. on November 19th

Student preview days will be November 8th-12th.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, our book fair will solely run through an E-Wallet for contactless payment.

Give your child a safe, cashless way to shop the Book Fair. This digital payment option can be used at the in-school Book Fair or online at the Virtual Book Fair, where you'll discover an expanded selection of over 5,000 products. Plus, every purchase benefits our school! Visit FAQs to learn more.

How It Works

  • Create an account for each child
  • Add funds...
  • ...or invite family and friends to contribute
  • Shop the Book Fair
  • Spend unused funds online or fund an eWallet for your next Fair

After the Fair, remaining eWallet funds are not returned to a credit card but instead, become a gift card balance that can be used online with Scholastic or to fund an eWallet for a future Book Fair. Be sure to sign in with the same email used to create the eWallet.

What To Do If Your Child Is Not Feeling Well

What Do If Your Child Is Not Feeling Well

If your child is ill with symptoms consistent (cough, sore throat, stomach issues, headaches, fatigue, congestion, etc ...) with Covid-19 contact Mr. Crissey and your child's teacher and then the following protocols must be followed:

Students May Return After

10 days have passed since symptoms started, and improvement in overall symptoms, and 24 hours have passed without fever and use of fever-reducing medication.

OR

Provide doctor’s note to campus health room staff stating that symptoms are not COVID-19-related and student can return to school.

OR

Provide a negative COVID-19 test. This MUST be a PCR test not a rapid test.

As an FYI the same holds true for staff members.
